What is Uber?
Uber is a technology platform that connects drivers with riders through a smartphone app. Uber is evolving the way the world moves. By seamlessly connecting riders to drivers through our apps, we make cities more accessible, opening up more possibilities for riders and more business for drivers. From our founding in 2009 to our launches in over 300 cities today, Uber’s rapidly expanding global presence continues to bring people and their cities closer.

How do I apply the LRFOODTRUCKS promo code*?
To apply the LRFOODTRUCKS promo code to your account, tap on the account icon in the upper left corner of the app and then select Promotions. Once you have entered a code, it will be automatically applied to your next eligible ride.
You can also earn free rides by sharing Uber with your friends! Head to the “Get Free Rides” page in your app and share your code. You’ll earn a free ride for every friend you invite who signs up with your code and takes their first ride. (Your friend must ride within 3 months of applying the code for the value to apply.)
*Only new users will be eligible for the first free ride up to $20
How do I request a ride through the app?
Once you’ve downloaded and opened the app, you can set your pickup location via GPS or by typing in your exact address or venue name by tapping on the pickup location bar. After you’ve set your location and vehicle option, tap “Set Pickup Location” to confirm your request.
You should request only when you’re ready to go – there’s currently no way to make a reservation in advance.
Can I split my fare with friends?
Yes! Split Fare is a great option for sharing the cost of your trip evenly with others who may be joining you. You can split with as many people as the vehicle you’ve requested can seat.
The Split Fare option will be available in the Uber app once you’ve requested a ride. From the app, tap the “Fare Split” button to invite others to join in on the trip. They’ll need to accept the Split Fare invitation from their own Uber app to participate.
If the invited riders do not accept the invitation or don’t have a valid payment method, you’ll be responsible and may be charged for their portion of the fare.
Who can I ask if I have further questions?
If you have any other questions in the future, you can go to **Help** in the left-hand menu of your app where you can find quick answers to some of our most frequently asked questions and submit questions related to specific trips.
